Description
PREREQUISITE: Students should have some experience with various action types of handguns, rifles, and shotguns. Students must be over 21 years of age!
WHAT YOU LEARN: This course teaches the basic duties a Range Safety Officer performs.
It provides a thorough introduction to:
- The role of Range Safety Officers (RSOs),
- Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),
- Range safety briefings,
- Range inspections and rules,
- Emergency procedures,
- How to clear firearm stoppages and malfunctions.
The skills acquired in the course require regular practice, which should initially take place under the supervision of a qualified individual—like an NRA Chief Range Safety Officer (CRSO).
NOTE: THERE IS NO LIVE FIRE IN THIS COURSE.
