NRA Instructor Shotgun Shooting Course

NRA Shotgun Instructor Course Registration

Instructor Led Only Training: Course is presented in two parts: basic instructor training, and discipline specific instructor training. Students demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises during the course, and complete an instructor certification examination. Students will receive the NRA Trainer’s Guide, NRA Shotgun Instructor Candidate Packet, and NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting course student packet.

Start time is 8:00 AM to approximately 6:00 PM both days.

Minimum of 50 targets @ ~$24.00. Plan to shoot about 75 targets.

Course topics include how to instruct:

• Gun Safety Rules,
• Proper operation of slide action, semi-automatic, and hinge action shotgun,
• Ammunition knowledge and selection,
• Shotgun selection and storage,
• Shooting fundamentals,
• Shotgun inspection and maintenance,
• Marksmanship,
• Shooting range safety.

BRING:

• Pen/Notepaper
• Eye and Ear Protection
• Hat
• Your favorite shotgun to shoot in the clinic. 12 gauge recommended.
• Minimum of 75 rounds of ammunition. 7.5, 8, and 9 shot allowed. 7.5 or 8 shot recommended.
• Credit card, cash, check accepted for target payment at range.
• Your certificate from a recent NRA Basic Shotgun Course and a score sheet if you did not participate in our August class.
