We look forward to you being in our class
Required student equipment.
- Handgun – typically the one you plan to carry most often. Preferably not a sub-compact for this particular class
- Strong Side Hip Holster – EXTERNAL. For this class, we highly recommend this not be an “in the pants holster” as you will be drawing from your holster and re-holstering for most of the class and this can be challenging, especially if you’re inside the pants holster is collapsible.
- Magazines – two are required, but three are very handy
- Concealment clothing – a vest, “over shirt”, or other item that preferably has an open front of some sort (button down).
- Eye & Ear Protection – if you have electronic ears, this is the class to bring them to as you will get a substantial amount of instruction while on the range.
- Range-appropriate clothing, including a cap or hat with a brim of some sort – be comfortable, but remember hot brass is no respecter of the skin it burns
- Factory ammo appropriate for the range – personal defense ammo is not needed. If you will be doing the two-day class you will need <250> rounds, if you are doing a one-day class you will need <100> rounds.
- Pen, Pencil, Notepaper, highlighters, etc. – class materials will be on hand to take notes in as well.
- Knee pads – some of the drills in this class will strongly recommend that you kneel (as opposed to squatting). The pads are needed by some folks, and preferred by others…
- An expectation of fun and learning!
